Nevada Bighorn Sheep 3251-243-1120

Nelson (desert) bighorn sheep in Unit 243, any legal weapon, Nov 20 – Jan 1, 2027.

New for 2025

The 2025 draw is the first on record for 3251-243-1120: Nevada Department of Wildlife did not offer this hunt code in earlier years, so the year-by-year table has one row and there is no point-creep trend to project yet. The odds shown are that one draw's actual results, not an estimate.

Points Needed to Draw

One draw on file (2025), so there is no trend to chart yet.

Bonus points (squared) — no cut to track: each point adds entries to the draw rather than a place in line.

Wait 10 years after drawing before applying again.

The $10 Bighorn sheep tag application fee is not refunded. The $3 Game application fee - predator control / habitat (per tag application, every species) is not refunded. The $155 nonresident annual combination hunting and fishing license (the only nonresident adult licence class; must be valid at the time of the draw to earn a bonus point, may be bought 'only if successful' at the cost of the point) is not refunded. Drawing adds the $1,200 nonresident bighorn sheep tag (charged only if drawn).

Optional, not counted above: Bonus-point-only purchase (optional: for someone who does NOT apply for a tag that year; an unsuccessful applicant earns the point automatically at no extra charge - FAQ p.3; licence required) $10 and Department processing fee (per application/licence/tag transaction) $1.

About These Numbers

Odds are from the 2025 draw, the latest on file, computed from Nevada Department of Wildlife's published results (monte Carlo over published bonus-point pools). They are what happened in that draw, not a forecast. Under five tags a percentage carries a *, because one applicant either way swings it. A dash means the agency did not publish the number, and a date marked expected is last cycle's schedule rolled forward. How we compute these.
