Terms of Use

These terms apply to everyone who uses AmmoSight.com. Using the site means you accept them. They are short because the site is simple: it shows you information and links you to other people's stores and documents, and it sells nothing itself. Questions go to contact@ammosight.com.

What AmmoSight Is

AmmoSight is an information service. It collects prices from online dealers and shows the cost per round with shipping to your state. It runs ballistics calculators from published load data. It summarizes state hunting regulations, state firearms laws and big-game draw results from agency documents. Every one of those is a convenience that helps you decide what to buy, where to apply or what to check; none of it is a sale, a quote, legal advice or a guarantee.

Prices and Dealers

Prices are read from dealer websites on a schedule and can be out of date, wrong, or sold out by the time you click. The dealer's own listing governs. Shipping is estimated from the dealer's published rates for your state and may differ at checkout. Any purchase is a contract between you and the dealer; AmmoSight is not a party to it, does not handle payment, and cannot help with an order. Some dealer links are affiliate links: the dealer may pay AmmoSight a commission on a sale at no extra cost to you. That relationship does not change which prices are shown or how they are ordered.

Laws, Regulations and Draw Statistics

Hunting-law and gun-law pages summarize agency and statutory documents, each with a source and the date we last checked it. Laws change between checks, agencies publish corrections, and a summary can miss an exception that applies to you. Draw-odds pages are computed from an agency's published results for past draws; they describe what happened, not what will happen, and we do not take applications. Before you buy, carry, hunt or apply, confirm the current rule with the agency or a lawyer. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and nothing on it should be read as saying an item, act or application is lawful for you.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for complying with every federal, state and local law that applies to you, including age limits, licensing, background checks, transport, storage and the legality of a product where you live. Ammunition and firearms are sold by the dealers you click through to, under their own eligibility checks. If you are not legally allowed to buy a product in your jurisdiction, this site does not change that.

Calculators

Trajectory, recoil and zeroing figures are calculated from manufacturer load data and a standard ballistic model. Real results depend on your rifle, your ammunition lot, the weather and your measurements. Use the numbers as a starting point and confirm them at the range before relying on them in the field.

Using the Site

You may read, link to and share pages freely. You may not use automated tools in a way that degrades the service for others, bypass measures we use to keep the site available, or present our tables, charts and write-ups as your own. The text, charts, calculators and design of the site belong to AmmoSight. Government data is public record. Product names, images and trademarks belong to their manufacturers and are used to identify the products.

No Warranty and Limits on Liability

The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, merchantability and fitness for a purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, AmmoSight and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site or reliance on anything in it, including a purchase made through a dealer link, a decision made on a law summary or a calculator result, or an application made on draw statistics. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nothing.

Changes and Contact
