Unweighted tags ÷ applicants — state did not publish pools. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks publishes no per-level counts for this hunt; each point adds entries (points² + 1), so the pool average is a floor for anyone holding points and an overstatement for a first-year applicant. As a lower choice, 291-01 drew no one in 2021, so lower-choice odds are left out.

All of Hunting District 291 377 110 29%

Across every license type in Hunting District 291, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks counted 377 hunters and 110 deer taken in 2025, and 29% of them took a deer. Montana's figures blend mandatory reporting with a phone and mail survey. FWP does not publish district-level hunter counts for elk or antelope, so success rates are missing for those. About These Numbers

Odds are from the 2021 draw, the latest on file, computed from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks' published results (unweighted tags ÷ applicants — state did not publish pools). They are what happened in that draw, not a forecast. Under five tags a percentage carries a *, because one applicant either way swings it. A dash means the agency did not publish the number, and a date marked expected is last cycle's schedule rolled forward.
