With a 180-grain bullet at 3,100 fps and a 100-yard zero, expect about 2.7 inches of drop at 200 yards, 10.0 inches at 300 yards, and 22.9 inches at 400 yards. The cartridge retains over 2,204 ft-lbs of energy at 400 yards and 1,897 ft-lbs at 500 yards—more than enough for elk at any reasonable hunting distance.
