It loads Nosler's AccuBond, a polymer-tipped hunting bullet with its lead core bonded to the jacket. It leaves the muzzle at 3,250 fps with 4,223 ft-lbs of energy, as fast as any 180-grain load in the caliber.
Compared with Nosler's Trophy Grade 180-grain AccuBond, which uses the same bullet, the Weatherby load starts 75 fps faster and carries 195 ft-lbs more at the muzzle. For a buyer set on the AccuBond bullet, that speed gap is the main thing separating the two loads. Compared with Weatherby's Select Plus 180-grain TTSX, a copper bullet with no lead core, the AccuBond starts 18 fps faster, and in the same rifle the two kick almost the same.
