Product Overview
Weatherby Select 180-grain InterLock is a lead-core .300 Weatherby Magnum load made for general hunting. Its bullet is Hornady's InterLock, a soft point with bare lead at the nose and the jacket keyed to the core by an internal ring. It leaves the muzzle at 3,240 fps with 4,195 ft-lbs and a G1 BC of .425.
Zeroed at 200 yards it drops 5.7 inches at 300 and 16.6 inches at 400, arriving with 2,241 ft-lbs. A 100-yard zero puts it 21.4 inches low at 400.
If you're cross-shopping, Nosler's Trophy Grade 180-grain AccuBond starts 65 fps slower on a G1 BC of .507, and from a 200-yard zero it drops 16.4 inches at 400 with 2,386 ft-lbs. Weatherby's Select Plus TTSX is the same bullet weight at 8 fps less, with no lead in it at all.
