Product Overview
DoubleTap 127-grain Barnes LRX is a solid copper .260 Remington hunting load made for deer, hogs, antelope and bear. Barnes' LRX is a copper bullet with a boat tail and a polymer tip, with no lead core. It leaves the muzzle at 3,000 fps with 2,539 ft-lbs and has a G1 BC of .468.
Zeroed at 200 yards, it drops 6.6 inches at 300 and 19.2 inches at 400, arriving with 1,416 ft-lbs. That is the least drop of the .260 Remington hunting loads compared.
If you're cross-shopping, DoubleTap's own 130-grain Swift Scirocco II is a bonded lead-core bullet 100 fps slower on a higher G1 BC of .571, and it reaches 400 yards with 1,503 ft-lbs. Hornady's Superformance 129-grain SST is slower too, on a G1 BC of .485.
