How to read it: filled circles are the near and far zero, where the bullet's path crosses the line of sight;the triangle is the peak (max ordinate). The shaded band is the 8" vital zone, ±4" either side of the line of sight. The dashed line marks the edge of the hold-dead-on window. The chart is zoomed to where the zero matters; the tables below run to 500 yards.

Product Overview
Berger's Match Grade 130-grain OTM Tactical comes from Berger's OTM Tactical line, built for target and tactical shooting. It uses Berger's Hybrid OTM Tactical bullet, an open-tip match bullet, rated at a G1 BC of .560, and it leaves the muzzle at 2,847 fps. Zeroed at 100 yards, it drops about 49 inches at 500.
Compared with Hornady's 130-grain ELD Match, the Berger is close to a twin. It starts 7 fps faster, and at 500 yards a steady 10 mph wind blowing straight across the range pushes each of them about 16 inches sideways. The Hornady drops about 50 inches at 500 from the same zero, and the two kick the same in the same rifle. Compared with Berger's own Match Grade 140-grain Hybrid Target, the 130 starts 58 fps faster and kicks about 12 percent less in the same rifle. The heavier 140 holds up a little better in the wind, about 15 inches at 500 yards.
Buy the Berger 130 if you want an open-tip match bullet for paper and steel out to 500 yards at the same recoil as the other 130-grain match loads. Hornady's 130-grain ELD Match is a like-for-like swap if you prefer a polymer tip. Pick the Berger 140 if an inch less wind drift at 500 yards is worth the extra recoil. Pick Nosler's Match Grade 130-grain RDF if you want the least wind drift and drop of the 130s at about the same recoil. For hunting, Nosler's Trophy Grade 130-grain AccuBond is a polymer-tipped bonded bullet that Nosler markets for deer-sized game; it leaves the muzzle 147 fps slower.
- Leaves the muzzle 176 fps faster than the Lapua Scenar 136-grain HPBT
- At 300 yards a 10 mph crosswind pushes it about 5 inches, within an inch of the Nosler Match Grade 130-grain RDF
- Drops about 9 inches less than the Lapua Scenar 136-grain HPBT at 500 yards from a 100-yard zero
- The Nosler Match Grade 130-grain RDF drops about 3 inches less at 500 yards from a 100-yard zero
- Its G1 BC of .560 trails the Berger Match Grade 140-grain Hybrid Target's .607
- The Nosler Match Grade 130-grain RDF is still moving about 110 fps faster at 500 yards
