The total metal jacket encloses the bullet with no exposed lead, the construction indoor ranges with lead rules want. Power factor works out to 108, 3 points over the IDPA stock-revolver floor of 105 and 12 under the 120 USPSA revolver-minor floor. Zeroed at 25 yards it drops 2.6 inches at 50 and 17.5 inches at 100, and it holds 822 fps and 188 ft-lbs at the 50-yard line.

It sits in the middle of the group. Winchester USA 130-grain, Remington UMC 130-grain and Magtech 130-grain all run 800 fps and 185 ft-lbs, so the Lawman is 63 fps faster with about 5 percent more recoil energy in the same revolver. Ammo Inc Signature Line TMC goes the other way at 947 fps, 84 fps faster with about 16 percent more recoil, and Fiocchi Range Dynamics 130-grain tops the set at 950 fps and 260 ft-lbs with about 26 percent more recoil than the Lawman. Downrange it splits the difference too: at 50 yards it is 51 fps ahead of Magtech and 77 fps behind Fiocchi, and the drop across the three runs from 2.0 inches for Fiocchi to 3.0 for Magtech, a 1-inch spread.

For a new revolver shooter or for snub-nose practice this is a sensible first pick: plated bullet, standard pressure, recoil close to the mildest loads in the caliber, and it makes the IDPA floor. If you carry a 125-grain +P hollow point, Remington UMC +P 125-grain SJHP runs 945 fps, 82 fps faster than this, with about 16 percent more recoil; Ammo Inc's Signature Line is the closer practice match for that at 947 fps. If you carry a heavy +P, Speer Lawman +P 158-grain TMJ produces about 71 percent more recoil energy than this load in the same revolver, and only a revolver rated for +P should fire it. If the goal is the least recoil possible, Magtech 130-grain has about 4 percent less.
