Product Overview
Winchester USA Ready Defense 170-grain is a jacketed hollow point 10mm Auto load made for personal defense, which Winchester calls a select grade of its defensive ammunition. The bullet is an unbonded jacketed hollow point. At 1,250 fps and 590 ft-lbs it is the fastest of the 170- and 175-grain 10mm loads compared.
Sighted at 25 yards it drops 1.1 inches at 50, arriving at 1,121 fps. Estimated recoil in a compact pistol is 10.1 ft-lbs.
If you're cross-shopping, PMC Bronze 170-grain is the same bullet weight at 1,200 fps, 50 fps back. Fiocchi 180-grain JHP matches this load's 1,250 fps with ten more grains of bullet and 34 ft-lbs more.
