Three 180-grain ball loads on the site are slower and four are faster. Armscor is 72 fps slower and Federal American Eagle 50 fps slower; American Eagle produces about 8 percent less recoil energy and Armscor about 11 percent less. Every one of these loads makes major, so the choice is about recoil, not the rulebook.

Buy this for a shooter stepping up to 10mm, or for long sessions where the recoil difference from the full-power loads adds up. It is not a match for a full-power carry load's recoil. If yours is the Remington Golden Saber 180-grain BJHP at 1,150 fps, Remington UMC or HSM Training at the same 1,150 fps are the closer practice ammunition. Anyone who wants the full-power feel should go to Magtech at 1,230 fps; anyone who wants the softest option should look at Armscor at 1,008 fps.
