The fastest 180-grain ball load on this site is Winchester's USA Ready flat-nose full metal jacket, listed at 1,250 fps and 624 ft-lbs. Power factor is 225, 60 points over the 165 USPSA major floor. From a 25-yard zero it is 1.0 inch low at 50 yards and 8.2 inches low at 100. It leaves the muzzle 125 fps above the speed of sound. It also produces the most recoil energy of the 10mm Auto loads compared here, though the gap to Magtech is only about 3 percent in the same pistol.
Magtech is the only close neighbor, 20 fps behind at 1,230 fps. Remington UMC at 1,150 fps is 100 fps back. Winchester USA, the same brand's standard load, is 170 fps back at 1,080 fps with about 22 percent less recoil energy in the same pistol.
