Arizona Unit 4A covers 482,727 acres and lies 20 miles south of Winslow and 40 miles west of Holbrook. 66% of it is public land, mostly national forest (43%) and state trust land (23%). A further 13% is tribal land rather than public land. In 2025, 494 people hunted elk here and took 179, a 36% success rate (sum of published weapon rows).
