CCI's Pour Pack Maxi Mag 40-grain is CCI's Maxi-Mag jacketed hollow point, a .22 Magnum rimfire load that CCI markets for varmints. The bullet has a lead core inside a copper jacket, with a hollow nose. CCI rates it at a G1 BC of .114 and 1,875 fps at the muzzle. At 100 yards, a steady 10 mph wind blowing across the range pushes it about 6 inches sideways.
Compared with CCI's Varmint Maxi-Mag 40-grain JHP, there is nothing to choose on paper: it is the same Maxi-Mag load, with the same speed, the same G1 BC and the same path at every distance. Compared with Winchester's Super-X 40-grain JHP, the CCI starts 35 fps slower and trails by 20 fps at 100 yards. That gap stays under an inch downrange.
