Brass Case • TMJ • MPN: 53919
Solved from this product's advertised 1350 fps, 125gr bullet and G1 BC 0.163, with the sight 0.5" over the bore at standard conditions. Compare every zero for .357 SIG.
How to read it: filled circles are the near and far zero, where the bullet's path crosses the line of sight;the triangle is the peak (max ordinate). The shaded band is the 4" vital zone, ±2" either side of the line of sight. The dashed line marks the edge of the hold-dead-on window. The chart is zoomed to where the zero matters; the tables below run to 100 yards.

Product Overview
Speer's Lawman 125-grain uses a TMJ bullet, fully enclosed with no exposed lead, and it is loaded for range and practice work. It runs 1,350 fps and 506 ft-lbs at the muzzle, a power factor of 169 that makes USPSA major by 3.8 points. From a 25-yard zero it drops 0.8 inch at 50 yards and 7.2 inches at 100.
The numbers give it no edge over the other ball loads here. Federal American Eagle 125, Winchester USA 125 and Remington UMC 125 match it at the muzzle in every figure, including recoil energy in the same pistol. Downrange, Lawman and American Eagle stay within 3 fps of each other through 100 yards and drop the same 7.2 inches. Fiocchi Range Dynamics 124 is 1 grain lighter with 4 ft-lbs less at the muzzle, and it drops 0.1 inch more at 50 yards, a gap no one will see on paper. What separates Lawman from the rest is the bullet, not the ballistics.
Buy it if you want practice ammo with no exposed lead, or major-power ball for USPSA. If exposed lead does not matter to you, American Eagle, Winchester USA and UMC give you the same muzzle numbers with a standard FMJ. Lawman also stands in well for Federal HST 125 in carry practice: the HST leaves 10 fps faster, drops the same 7.2 inches at 100 yards and has about 1 percent more recoil energy in the same pistol.
- TMJ bullet has no exposed lead, where American Eagle 125, Winchester USA 125 and Remington UMC 125 use a standard FMJ
- Makes major with about 30 fps of velocity to spare, since a 125-grain bullet needs 1,320 fps
- Keeps 331 ft-lbs at 100 yards, 3 more than Fiocchi Range Dynamics 124
- Its 1,350 fps and 506 ft-lbs match Winchester USA 125 and Remington UMC 125 exactly, so the TMJ bullet is the only reason to pick it over them
- About 1 percent more recoil energy than Fiocchi Range Dynamics 124 in the same pistol
- Carries 2 ft-lbs less than Federal American Eagle 125 at both 50 and 100 yards
