Brass Case • FMJ
Solved from this product's advertised 1000 fps, 73gr bullet and G1 BC 0.100, with the sight 0.5" over the bore at standard conditions. Compare every zero for .32 ACP.
How to read it: filled circles are the near and far zero, where the bullet's path crosses the line of sight;the triangle is the peak (max ordinate). The shaded band is the 4" vital zone, ±2" either side of the line of sight. The dashed line marks the edge of the hold-dead-on window. The chart is zoomed to where the zero matters; the tables below run to 100 yards.

Product Overview
Fiocchi Range Dynamics is the hot load in .32 ACP ball. Its 73-grain FMJ leaves at 1,000 fps with a published 152 ft-lbs of muzzle energy, 100 fps faster than the 900 fps loads in this group. From a 25-yard zero it is 1.9 inches low at 50 yards and 13.7 inches low at 100, still the trajectory of a close-range pocket pistol. The speed is paid for in recoil: about 27 percent more recoil energy than PMC Bronze 71, Federal American Eagle 71 or CCI Blazer 71 in the same pistol. The brass case is reloadable.
The four 71-grain loads cluster at 900 to 905 fps and 126 to 129 ft-lbs, so Fiocchi's 23 to 26 ft-lbs of extra muzzle energy is the largest gap anywhere in this set. Winchester USA 71 is the closest at 905 fps; PMC Bronze 71, American Eagle 71 and Blazer 71 sit at 900. Among those four the recoil estimates differ by about 1 percent, which nobody will feel, while the step up to Fiocchi is a quarter more recoil energy, and a pocket pistol makes that kind of difference obvious over a long session.
Buy Fiocchi Range Dynamics 73 when you want the most velocity and energy from a .32 ACP ball load, or when a pistol with a stiff recoil spring wants the extra push to cycle. It is the wrong practice load if your carry round is a standard 71-grain hollow point: Magtech's 71-grain JHP at 905 fps produces about 20 percent less recoil energy than the Fiocchi in the same pistol, so PMC Bronze 71 or American Eagle 71 at 900 fps are the closer stand-ins. Recoil-sensitive shooters should take one of those 900 fps loads as well.
- 1,000 fps is the fastest muzzle speed in the group, 95 fps ahead of the next load, Winchester USA 71
- 73-grain bullet is the heaviest in the set, 2 grains over the 71-grain PMC Bronze, American Eagle, Blazer and Winchester
- Brass case is reloadable, unlike CCI Blazer 71's aluminum
- About 25 percent more recoil energy than Winchester USA 71 in the same pistol, the largest recoil step in the set
- 13.7 inches low at 100 yards from a 25-yard zero: flatter than the 71-grain loads, but still a close-range pistol cartridge
- Shooters who want the mildest session should pick PMC Bronze 71 or American Eagle 71 at 900 fps
