About This Suppressor
The SilencerCo Hybrid 46M is a modular multi-calibre suppressor for pistols and rifles from 9mm to .45-70 Government. It has an MSRP of $1,169. It runs 7.72 inches and 14.9 ounces long or 5.78 inches and 12.2 ounces short, in 17-4 stainless steel, titanium and Inconel.
It mounts on SilencerCo's Charlie ASR system and also takes pistons and 3-lug adapters, which covers a .45 pistol, a 9mm subgun and a rifle on the same can. Pistons and extra mounts are separate purchases, as is a second Charlie mount if you want one left on each host. The modular body changes length with the tools supplied.
If you're cross-shopping, the SilencerCo Omega 36M has the same MSRP of $1,169 and the same 1.57-inch body, but its bore stops at .338 Lapua Magnum and it runs lighter at 12.5 ounces. The Dead Air Primal has an MSRP of $899, a .458 bore and 16.4 ounces of stainless steel at 7.9 inches. The Hybrid 46M is the one of the three rated for .45-70 Government.
Strengths & Limitations
Pros
- Covers 9mm to .45 ACP and 5.56 NATO to .45-70 Government on one can.
- Rated for energies up to .338 Lapua Magnum, so magnum rifle rounds are inside it.
- Two lengths from one body, so a pistol build and a rifle build come from one purchase.
Cons
- Pistons and extra mounts are separate purchases.
- Heavier than the Omega 36M in both builds for the same money.
