Product Overview
Winchester sells its 45-grain Dynapoint in its USA line and calls it ideal for target and range use. The Dynapoint is a copper-plated hollow point, and at 45 grains it is 5 grains heavier than the soft points it is compared with below. It is rated at a G1 BC of .125 and leaves the muzzle at 1,550 fps. By 100 yards it has slowed to 1,143 fps.
Compared with CCI's Gamepoint 40-grain JSP, the Dynapoint starts 325 fps slower and drops more: zeroed at 100 yards, the Dynapoint drops about 8 inches at 150 and the Gamepoint about 6. At 150 yards, a steady 10 mph wind blowing across the range pushes the Dynapoint about 14 inches sideways and the Gamepoint about 11. Compared with Remington's 40-grain pointed soft point, which starts 360 fps faster, the Dynapoint holds its line about as well: the same wind pushes the Remington about 13 inches at 150 yards.
