Product Overview
Remington Core-Lokt 140-grain PSP is a pointed soft point 7mm Remington Magnum load made for big game. Remington's Core-Lokt jacket is locked to a lead core, with the nose left bare. It leaves the muzzle at 3,175 fps with 3,133 ft-lbs, the fastest start of the caliber's 140-grain loads, and has a G1 BC of .390.
Zeroed at 200 yards, it drops 6.1 inches at 300 yards and 18.0 inches at 400 yards, arriving with 1,567 ft-lbs. From a 100-yard zero the drop at 400 yards is 23.2 inches. It kicks a shade more than Winchester's Deer Season XP 140-grain.
If you're cross-shopping, Winchester's Deer Season XP 140-grain has a G1 BC of .484 and from a 200-yard zero drops 17.6 inches at 400 yards. Prvi Partizan's 140-grain PSP matches this bullet idea on a G1 BC of .396 and starts slower.
- The most muzzle energy of the caliber's 140-grain loads
- Carries 1,881 ft-lbs at 300 yards
- More muzzle energy than Sellier & Bellot's 140-grain SP and Prvi Partizan's 140-grain PSP
- A lead core, so it is out where lead-free ammunition is required. Black Hills Gold's 140-grain Barnes TSX has none in it
- 147 ft-lbs behind Winchester's Deer Season XP 140-grain at 400 yards
- Behind Winchester's Deer Season XP 140-grain on G1 BC, .390 to .484
