Federal 175-grain JSP is a jacketed soft point 7mm Remington Magnum load made for big game. There is no polymer tip, just a bare lead nose on a copper-jacketed bullet. It leaves the muzzle at 2,860 fps with 3,178 ft-lbs and has a G1 BC of .429.
Zeroed at 200 yards, it drops 7.6 inches at 300 yards and 22.1 inches at 400 yards, arriving with 1,652 ft-lbs. From a 100-yard zero the drop at 400 yards is 29.0 inches. Only HSM's Trophy Gold 180-grain Berger VLD kicks harder.
