Federal Fusion 120-grain is a bonded soft point 7mm-08 hunting load made for big game. Federal fuses the jacket to the lead core so the two hold together. It leaves the muzzle at 3,000 fps with 2,398 ft-lbs and has a G1 BC of .335, the lowest of the four 7mm-08 loads compared.
Zeroed at 100 yards, it drops 12.2 inches at 300 and 28.4 inches at 400, where 1,038 ft-lbs are left. From a 200-yard zero the 400-yard drop is 22.0 inches.
If you're cross-shopping, Barnes' VOR-TX 120-grain TTSX is the same bullet weight at the same muzzle speed, built of solid copper with no lead core, and from a 100-yard zero it drops 27.1 inches at 400.
