Product Overview
Hornady Precision Hunter 103-grain ELD-X is a polymer-tipped 6mm ARC load made for medium game. The ELD-X is a lead-core hunting bullet with a heat-resistant tip and a boat tail. It leaves the muzzle at 2,800 fps with 1,793 ft-lbs and a G1 BC of .512.
Zeroed at 200 yards, it drops 7.6 inches at 300 and 21.8 inches at 400 with 1,038 ft-lbs left, more than any other 6mm ARC hunting load carries at that distance.
If you're cross-shopping, HSM's Tipping Point 95-grain SST starts 216 fps faster but on a G1 BC of .355 and from a 200-yard zero it drops 21.1 inches at 400. HSM's Trophy Gold 95-grain Berger VLD carries a G1 BC of .467 and drops 20.7 inches off that zero.
