Compared with Fiocchi's Hyperformance Match 140-grain RDF, the other 140-grain match load, the Winchester leaves the muzzle 50 fps faster. The Fiocchi's bullet is Nosler's RDF, also a hollow point match bullet with a boat tail. Compared with Hornady's 147-grain ELD Match, the Winchester starts 120 fps faster, and the Hornady kicks about 5 percent harder in the same rifle. The Hornady uses a polymer-tipped match bullet instead of a hollow point.

Buy the Winchester 140 if you shoot matches and want the most speed at the muzzle. Pick the Fiocchi 140 if you want the same bullet weight with the lightest recoil of the 6.5 PRC match loads. Pick the Hornady 147 if you want the heaviest 6.5 PRC match bullet on the site and can take the extra recoil. Pick Norma's Golden Target 143-grain if you want a slightly heavier hollow point match bullet; it leaves the muzzle 44 fps slower. The Match BTHP is a target bullet. For hunting at the same weight, Nosler markets its Ballistic Tip 140-grain for elk- and moose-sized game; it carries a polymer-tipped hunting bullet and kicks about 5 percent less.
