Solved from this product's advertised 3010 fps, 127gr bullet and G1 BC 0.468, with the sight 1.5" over the bore at standard conditions. Compare every zero for 6.5 PRC.
How to read it: filled circles are the near and far zero, where the bullet's path crosses the line of sight;the triangle is the peak (max ordinate). The shaded band is the 8" vital zone, ±4" either side of the line of sight. The dashed line marks the edge of the hold-dead-on window. The chart is zoomed to where the zero matters; the tables below run to 500 yards.

Product Overview
Barnes' VOR-TX Long Range 127-grain LRX is a copper 6.5 PRC load made for hunting at long range, with no game named. The LRX is a polymer-tipped copper bullet with a boat tail and no lead core. It leaves the muzzle at 3,010 fps with 2,555 ft-lbs and has a G1 BC of .468.
Zeroed at 100 yards, it drops 11.0 inches at 300 and 24.9 inches at 400, where 1,426 ft-lbs are left.
If you're cross-shopping, Federal's Terminal Ascent 130-grain is the closest lead-core load on weight, 10 fps slower on a higher G1 BC of .532, and from a 100-yard zero it drops 24.2 inches at 400. Weatherby's Select Plus 124-grain Hammer Custom is the nearest copper bullet on weight and from that zero drops 23.0 inches at 400.
- No lead in the bullet, so it is legal where lead ammunition is restricted
- The heaviest of the caliber's copper bullets at 127 grains
- Carries 1,662 ft-lbs at 300 yards, 167 more than Sako's PowerHead Blade 120-grain
- Weatherby's Select Plus 124-grain Hammer Custom is the faster and flatter copper bullet in the caliber
- The hardest-kicking of the copper loads in the caliber, about 10 percent more estimated recoil than Fiocchi's Hyperformance 120-grain TTSX
