Product Overview
Weatherby Select Plus 180-grain Swift Scirocco is a bonded .300 PRC hunting load made for long-range hunting. The Scirocco II is a polymer-tipped bullet whose lead core is bonded to the jacket so the two hold together. It leaves the muzzle at 3,025 fps with 3,658 ft-lbs and has a G1 BC of .520.
Zeroed at 200 yards, it drops 18.2 inches at 400 yards, where it still carries 2,174 ft-lbs. From a 100-yard zero it drops 23.8 inches at 400.
If you're cross-shopping, Hornady's Outfitter 190-grain CX starts 25 fps slower on a higher G1 BC of .575 and drops 18.0 inches at 400 from a 200-yard zero. Barnes' VOR-TX Long Range 208-grain LRX has no lead core, and off that zero it drops 19.6 inches at 400.
