About This Firearm

Twenty-one rounds in a frame derived from the original P365 micro-compact platform — that's the headline of the Sig Sauer P365-Fuse. Released in June 2024, the Fuse stretches the P365 architecture to a 4.3" barrel, a 21+1 magazine, and a Picatinny-railed full-size LXG grip module while keeping the slimmer P365-family slide width. At 23.1 oz, it carries lighter than most service pistols despite holding more rounds.

The Fuse uses the same modular trigger group as the rest of the P365 line, which means owners can move the chassis between grip modules and accessory configurations. Compared to the Sig P365 X-Macro, the Fuse adds 4 rounds of capacity and a longer slide-and-barrel package while retaining the same slim grip profile. Compared to the Springfield Hellcat Pro OSP, the Fuse offers 6 more rounds in flush-fit configuration for a similar overall length and weight class. The Romeo-X optic footprint cut, factory fiber-optic front, and ambidextrous controls are all standard.

The compromise is that the Fuse stretches an originally compact platform to its outer limits — the long grip exposes more of the pistol when concealed, and the magazine spring tension on a 21-round flush stack is notable. The real selling point isn't compactness or innovation; it's the magnitude — a flush-fit 21-round 9mm in a frame that still rides closer to a P365 X-Macro than a Glock 17.

Best For

GOOD
Home Defense
The 21+1 capacity in a single magazine puts the Fuse near AR-pistol round count without leaving the handgun category. The 3-slot Picatinny rail accommodates weapon lights or laser units common in nightstand setups.
FAIR
Concealed Carry
At 1.1" wide, the slimline slide conceals well — the issue is the grip length on a flush 21-round magazine, which extends below most belt lines. Owners report the X-Macro is a better daily-carry choice if grip exposure matters.
GOOD
Suppressor Host
The 1/2x28 thread pattern (when ordered in TB configuration) and the LXG-grip rigidity make this an unusual choice for can use given the slim profile. Reviewers note the 5.3 lb trigger and longer dwell time on the 4.3" slide make for predictable cycling subsonic.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths
  • Flush 21+1 capacity is the highest in the slimline service-pistol class — comparable round counts elsewhere typically require extended magazines or a much wider double-stack frame
  • LXG grip module is engraved rather than stippled — owners report it grips well wet without the shirt-shredding aggressiveness of some texturing patterns
  • Modular fire control unit means the same serialized chassis swaps into other P365-family grip modules for different use cases
Limitations
  • Magazine spring tension on the 21-round flush stack is firm enough that some owners report needing a UpLULA loader for fast reloads at first
  • Long grip module reduces concealment over the sibling P365 X-Macro — buyers carrying daily should weigh the capacity-vs-grip-print trade-off honestly

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Fuse fit holsters cut for the P365 X-Macro?

Some X-Macro holsters fit the Fuse with minor cant adjustment because the slide width and trigger guard are common to the platform, but the longer barrel-and-slide of the Fuse means most X-Macro holsters won't fully cover the muzzle. Major makers like Tenicor, T.Rex Arms, and Vedder now sell Fuse-specific cuts, and any P365-Fuse-specific holster will give better retention than retrofitted X-Macro options.

Does the P365-Fuse need a manual safety variant for some carry positions?

The Fuse ships with internal safeties only — no external thumb safety variant is currently offered. Sig has historically added manual-safety SKUs to P365 variants after market demand develops, but as of release the Fuse is striker-only with trigger and firing pin safeties. Owners who carry appendix or want a manual safety should look at the standard P365 or P365XL which both have manual-safety SKUs available.
