The G43 is Glock's single-stack subcompact 9mm: a 3.41-inch barrel, a flush 6-round magazine, 1.06 inches wide and 17.99 oz with an empty magazine. Glock still lists it, and it was not part of the late-2025 changeover that replaced most Gen5 pistols with V models. The decision here is whether a small Glock with six in the magazine still makes sense next to micro-compacts that hold ten or more in the same width.

What the G43 offers is the Glock manual of arms in a small, flat package: no manual safety, a built-in beavertail for a high grip, and a large magazine catch. The Glock G43X puts a taller grip under the G43's barrel length, and Glock's G43X page lists a 10-round magazine; it weighs 18.7 oz and stands 5.04 inches tall against the G43's 4.25. The Sig Sauer P365 is the same width, weighs 0.19 oz less and holds 10 in its flush magazine. The Springfield Armory Hellcat is 1.0 inch wide and 4.0 inches tall, shorter than the G43, yet holds 11 behind a 3.0-inch barrel.

Buy the G43 if you already shoot a Glock well and want the same trigger and controls in a slim single-stack for deep or pocket carry. Skip it if capacity matters more than grip height; the P365 carries four more rounds in a gun the same width.
