PMC Bronze .32 ACP 60gr JHP Ammo Ballistics
Brass Case • JHP • MPN: 32B
Solved from this product's advertised 980 fps, 60gr bullet and G1 BC 0.092, with the sight 0.5" over the bore at standard conditions. Compare every zero for .32 ACP.
How to read it: filled circles are the near and far zero, where the bullet's path crosses the line of sight;the triangle is the peak (max ordinate). The shaded band is the 4" vital zone, ±2" either side of the line of sight. The dashed line marks the edge of the hold-dead-on window. The chart is zoomed to where the zero matters; the tables below run to 100 yards.

Product Overview
PMC Bronze's .32 ACP hollow point is a 60-grain conventional jacketed hollow point loaded to 980 fps and 128 ft-lbs. In this set that is the second-fastest standard-pressure load, 20 fps behind Hornady Critical Defense 60 and Hornady Custom 60 XTP. From a 25-yard zero it is 2.0 inches low at 50 yards and 14.4 inches low at 100; like every .32 ACP it is a close-range pistol load. Recoil energy in the same pistol is about 3 percent less than the Hornady loads.
Among the standard-pressure loads the spread is 40 fps and 10 ft-lbs from top to bottom, and the PMC sits in the upper half. Speer Gold Dot 60 is 20 fps and 5 ft-lbs behind it and produces about 4 percent less recoil energy in the same pistol; Silvertip 60 is about 2 percent under the PMC. The three sit close enough that the choice among them comes down to bullet design. Buffalo Bore's +P Barnes TAC-XP is the exception, 170 fps ahead of the PMC with about 31 percent more recoil energy in the same pistol. It is loaded above standard pressure, so check that your pistol is rated for +P before you use it.
This is a straightforward standard-pressure hollow point for a .32 pocket pistol, with muzzle numbers within 20 fps of the Hornady loads. If you want a bonded bullet or a polymer tip at nearly the same speed, Speer Gold Dot 60 and Hornady Critical Defense 60 sit 20 fps either side of it. For practice, PMC's own Bronze 71-grain FMJ at 900 fps is the natural pairing, though the heavier bullet produces about 20 percent more recoil energy in the same pistol, so it kicks harder than this hollow point.
- 10 fps and 3 ft-lbs ahead of Silvertip 60 at the muzzle
- About 24 percent less recoil energy than Buffalo Bore's +P Barnes TAC-XP in the same pistol
- About 2 percent less recoil velocity than Hornady Critical Defense 60 in the same pistol
- 5 ft-lbs less at the muzzle than the two Hornady 60-grain loads
- 48 ft-lbs behind Buffalo Bore's +P Barnes TAC-XP at the muzzle
- Plain brass case where Hornady Critical Defense 60 and Speer Gold Dot 60 use nickel-plated brass
