Solved from this product's advertised 1130 fps, 40gr bullet and G1 BC 0.158, with the sight 1.5" over the bore at standard conditions. Compare every zero for .22LR, or read .22 LR: 50-Yard vs 100-Yard Zero.
How to read it: filled circles are the near and far zero, where the bullet's path crosses the line of sight;the triangle is the peak (max ordinate). The shaded band is the 4" vital zone, ±2" either side of the line of sight. Dashed line: where the bullet goes subsonic. The dashed line marks the edge of the hold-dead-on window. The chart is zoomed to where the zero matters; the tables below run to 200 yards.

Product Overview
Aguila's Super Extra 40-grain Standard Velocity SP is a lead solid point load made for plinking and target shooting. The lead is bare, with no copper plating over it. At 1,130 fps it carries 113 ft-lbs and a G1 BC of .158.
From a 50-yard zero it drops 6.6 inches at 100 yards, 1.3 inches more than Aguila's .22 LR Super Extra High Velocity 40-grain SP from the same zero. A 75-yard zero brings it to 3.6 inches at 100 yards.
If you're cross-shopping, Aguila's Super Extra HV 38-grain HP is the hollow point in the line, 150 fps faster at the muzzle and still doing 1,008 fps at 100 yards against 971 for this one. Aguila markets that one for small game and varmints as well as targets.
- Aguila's standard velocity class, the slowest start of the loads compared
- The heavier of the two bullet weights compared, at 40 grains
- Still carrying 84 ft-lbs at 100 yards
- 27 ft-lbs behind Aguila's .22 LR Super Extra High Velocity 40-grain SP at the muzzle
- Still above the speed of sound at the muzzle, so a suppressor does not make it quiet
