Barnes VOR-TX 140-grain TTSX is an all-copper 7mm Remington Magnum load made for hunting. The TTSX is a copper bullet with a polymer tip, a boat tail and no lead core. It leaves the muzzle at 3,100 fps with 2,988 ft-lbs and has a G1 BC of .412.
Zeroed at 200 yards, it drops 6.4 inches at 300 yards and 18.6 inches at 400 yards, arriving with 1,544 ft-lbs. A 100-yard zero puts it 24.1 inches low at 400 yards. It kicks about the same as Prvi Partizan's 140-grain PSP.
If you're cross-shopping, Federal's Vital-Shok 140-grain Trophy Bonded Tip starts 50 fps faster on a G1 BC of .430 with a bonded lead core. Sako's PowerHead Blade 140-grain is copper as well, on a lower G1 BC of .362.
