Product Overview
Hornady V-Match 80-grain ELD-VT is a polymer-tipped 6mm Creedmoor load made for target shooting. A long boat tail and a polymer tip sit over the ELD-VT's lead core. It leaves the muzzle at 3,300 fps with 1,934 ft-lbs and a G1 BC of .410, and it is the softest-shooting load in the caliber.
Zeroed at 200 yards it drops 5.5 inches at 300 and 16.2 inches at 400. From a 100-yard zero the drop at 400 is 20.6 inches.
If you're cross-shopping, Hornady's Varmint Express 87-grain V-MAX is 90 fps slower at the muzzle on a G1 BC of .400, and from a 200-yard zero it drops 17.4 inches at 400. Sig Sauer's Elite Performance 80-grain Solid Copper is the copper hunting bullet at this weight, 75 fps faster at the muzzle.
