Solved from this product's advertised 3000 fps, 80gr bullet and G1 BC 0.410, with the sight 1.5" over the bore at standard conditions. Compare every zero for 6mm ARC.
How to read it: filled circles are the near and far zero, where the bullet's path crosses the line of sight;the triangle is the peak (max ordinate). The shaded band is the 8" vital zone, ±4" either side of the line of sight. The dashed line marks the edge of the hold-dead-on window. The chart is zoomed to where the zero matters; the tables below run to 500 yards.

Product Overview
Hornady markets its V-Match 80-grain ELD-VT for target and match shooting, and its light bullet keeps recoil low over a long day of shooting. The ELD-VT is Hornady's polymer-tipped bullet, rated at a G1 BC of .410, and it leaves the muzzle at 3,000 fps.
Compared with HSM's V-MAX 75-grain, the V-Match carries a bullet 5 grains heavier and starts 100 fps slower. The heavier bullet makes up the difference in energy: the V-Match leaves the muzzle with 1,599 ft-lbs and the V-MAX with 1,601. The V-MAX, with its lighter bullet, kicks about 9 percent less in the same rifle. Both loads use polymer-tipped Hornady bullets, the ELD-VT in the V-Match and the V-MAX in HSM's load.
Buy the V-Match if you want a light-recoiling target load with a polymer-tipped bullet, the use Hornady markets it for. Pick the HSM V-MAX 75 if you want the faster start and a little less recoil; it leaves the muzzle at 3,100 fps. Pick HSM's Tipping Point 95-grain SST if you hunt: HSM markets it for small to medium-sized game, and its heavier bullet leaves the muzzle with 1,918 ft-lbs, 319 more than the V-Match. It also kicks harder; the V-Match kicks about 30 percent less.
- Carries a bullet 5 grains heavier than HSM's V-MAX 75-grain with nearly the same muzzle energy
- Still moving at 1,954 fps at 500 yards
- Zeroed at 200 yards, it drops about 7 inches at 300
- Leaves the muzzle 100 fps slower than HSM's V-MAX 75-grain
- HSM's V-MAX 75-grain kicks about 9 percent less in the same rifle
- At 500 yards, a steady 10 mph wind blowing across the range pushes its light bullet about 21 inches sideways
