Product Overview
Hornady Frontier 123-grain FMJ is a plain full metal jacket 6.5 Grendel load made for plinking and target shooting. The bullet is closed at the nose, and at 123 grains it is among the heaviest of the caliber's ball loads. It leaves the muzzle at 2,580 fps with 1,818 ft-lbs and has a G1 BC of .420.
Zeroed at 200 yards, it drops 9.7 inches at 300 and 28.1 inches at 400. From a 100-yard zero the 400-yard figure is 37.5 inches.
If you're cross-shopping, AAC's 123-grain FMJ is the same bullet weight on the same G1 BC, 55 fps slower, and from a 200-yard zero it drops 29.5 inches at 400. Prvi Partizan's 110-grain FMJ-BT is the fast end of the ball loads at 2,755 fps.
