That puts it a step below the full-speed copper loads in the same weight, and a step above Hornady's reduced-recoil option.
Compared with Federal's 85-grain Barnes TSX, which loads the same Barnes bullet, the Black Hills starts 100 fps slower, 3,100 against 3,200. In return it kicks about 4 percent less in the same rifle.
