Taurus launched an 8 3/8-inch Raging Hunter revolver in .350 Legend on October 21, with an MSRP of $1,421.99 on its product page. Its release calls it the 8-inch model and says it launches today.
The Raging Hunter is a large-frame, six-shot revolver that fires double action or single action, and .350 Legend is a straight-wall cartridge. Sights are a fixed front and a fully adjustable rear. It loads with full moon clips and comes in two-tone or black finishes, and the listed price is for the two-tone gun.
It joins the existing 10.5-inch and 14-inch .350 Legend models, and the release rounds the shorter one down to 10 inches. The 10.5-inch two-tone lists at $1,577.99 and has a stainless steel frame. Against that, the 8 3/8-inch gun has an alloy steel frame with a stainless barrel, and it weighs 55 oz unloaded against 79.4 oz for the longer gun.

Taurus says an angular barrel cuts weight, and factory porting and a gas expansion chamber reduce muzzle lift. A non-fluted cylinder adds weight to help reduce recoil, and a cushioned grip spreads contact over more of the hand. The Taurus Double Lock System keeps the cylinder secure, and a transfer bar is the safety.
“The 8-inch model was developed directly in response to consumer feedback requesting a shorter version,” said Caleb Giddings, General Manager of Marketing at Taurus USA.
The revolver launched October 21, and the product page links to Taurus’s dealer locator.
