Diamondback Firearms added the SDR-A BLACK, a 15.6-ounce six-shot .38 Special +P revolver, to its SDR-A line on October 30, the Cocoa, Florida, maker said in a release. SDR is short for Self Defense Revolver. The BLACK version has a black anodized frame, a Black Nitride stainless steel cylinder and a Black PX5 barrel shroud. Its frame is forged 7075-T6 aluminum and its barrel is 2-inch stainless steel.

The revolver is hammerless and double-action-only, with a 9.0- to 11.5-pound trigger pull. Sights are a fixed orange fiber-optic front and a low-profile dovetail green fiber-optic rear, and the grip is black Hogue rubber with the Diamondback logo.
