Black Basin Offers Free Ammo If Republicans Keep Congress on November 3
The Texas retailer is running seven election deals through November 2, led by a 80 case of Fiocchi 5.56, paid in full up front and credited back only if Kalshi's Congress balance-of-power contract resolves to a Republican sweep. Kalshi priced that outcome at 7.9 cents on the dollar on October 30.

Key Facts
- The promotion runs from 12:01 AM October 29 to 11:59 PM Central November 2, 2026, or until promotional inventory sells out.
- Headline deal: 1,000 rounds of Fiocchi Range Dynamics 5.56 NATO 55-grain FMJ for $480, free shipping, no purchase limit.
- Credit equals the merchandise price and is paid only if Kalshi contract KXBALANCEPOWERCOMBO-27FEB-RR resolves yes.
- Kalshi quoted a yes contract on the Republican sweep at 7.9 cents on October 30, down from 8.7 cents the day before.
- Kalshi settles the contract no later than February 1, 2027, and Black Basin issues credit within 10 business days after that.
- Six more bundles qualify, from $429.99 to $649.99, each pairing a 1,000-round case with an optic or 250 Gold Dot rounds.
Black Basin Outdoors began a five-day election promotion on October 29 that returns the $480 price of a 1,000-round Fiocchi 5.56 case as store credit if Republicans keep both the House and the Senate on November 3. The Texas retailer said in its promotion terms that one prediction-market contract decides the credit: Kalshi’s “Midterms: Congress Balance of Power?” market must resolve to a Republican sweep.
Buyers pay the full price now. Seven deals qualify, all with free shipping and no purchase limit, and the credit covers the merchandise price only. Shipping, shipping insurance, rush processing, taxes, fees and add-on items are excluded. Sales close at 11:59 PM Central on November 2, or earlier if the promotional inventory sells out.
The headline deal is a case of Fiocchi Range Dynamics 5.56 NATO, 55-grain full metal jacket, at $480, or $0.48 a round. The other six pair a 1,000-round case with a red dot or with 250 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 124-grain +P. PMC 9mm 124-grain with the Gold Dot is $459.99, and Federal Champion 9mm 115-grain with the same Gold Dot is $429.99. The Fiocchi case with an Osight R red dot is $649.99, Patriot Sports .223 55-grain with an Osight R is $598.99, PMC 9mm 147-grain with an Osight XE is $470.99, and Federal Champion 9mm with an Osight XR is $479.99. Each bundle’s eligible credit equals its sale price.

Kalshi’s market, not the networks’ election calls, settles the question. The terms name the contract by ticker, KXBALANCEPOWERCOMBO-27FEB-RR, and say the credit condition is met only if it resolves to yes. Kalshi’s rules for that contract, published through its market API, require both House control and Senate control to resolve Republican. If either component resolves to no, the whole contract resolves to no. House control follows the Speaker’s party and Senate control the President pro tempore’s party, with earlier resolution possible once designated media sources consistently call the outcome. The contract closes no later than February 1, 2027, and Black Basin issues credit within 10 business days after Kalshi’s final resolution and its own verification, not on election night.
On the morning of October 30 Kalshi quoted a yes contract on the Republican sweep at 7.9 cents on the dollar, down from 8.7 cents the day before, with about 22 million contracts open. At that price a retailer could cover the $480 credit on one Fiocchi case by buying 480 contracts for roughly 38 dollars, about 8 percent of the sale. Black Basin’s terms say it may do exactly that: “Black Basin alone may purchase financial event contracts to manage its promotional risk,” and customers “are not placing a bet, wager, or prediction-market trade” by buying.
Orders canceled, refunded, returned or charged back before February 1, 2027 lose eligibility. Buyers in jurisdictions where the promotion would break state or local law, wholesale orders, gift-card purchases and company employees are excluded. Texas law governs the terms, and ammunition buyers must be 21 with age verification at checkout. Orders ship in two to 10 business days in the order received.
