The P365-AXG Legion is a P365 with a metal grip module. SIG announced it in October 2023 as the first P365 in the Legion line. It is for the carrier who likes the P365's size and 17-round magazine but wants more weight in the hand to soak up recoil. The decision is whether that metal frame is worth carrying over the polymer X-Macro.
The AXG module is aluminum alloy with G10 grip panels and an installed magwell, and the slide has a two-port expansion chamber built in. The Sig Sauer P365 X-Macro shares the 3.1-inch barrel, 6.6-inch length and 5.2-inch height on a polymer grip, weighs 4.5 oz less and ships with one fewer magazine. That is the gun to beat. The Staccato CS is the single-action alternative, with 2 fewer rounds in the magazine. The Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro OSP is the lighter polymer choice at 21.0 oz and $670, with a 3.7-inch barrel.
Buy the P365-AXG Legion if you carry OWB or in a heavier IWB setup and want a small gun that shoots flatter than its size suggests, and the Legion finish and third magazine matter to you. Skip it if carry weight comes first; the X-Macro is the same size and capacity with less weight on the belt.
