About This Firearm
The TTI Combat is a Taran Tactical Innovations collaboration on Canik's full-size striker pistol, with a frame designed by Taran Butler. It lists at $1,000 and ships as a complete match kit: case, holster, two optic plates, loader and tools. The decision it answers is whether a factory-tuned Canik is worth the step up from the Canik SFX Rival, or whether that money belongs in a Walther or a double-stack 1911.
The Taran Butler frame is the main difference. Against the SFX Rival, it gives up 0.26" of barrel and costs $320 more, so you are paying for the frame, the flat-face aluminum trigger and the kit. The Walther PDP Pro SD Full Size 5.1" lists within a dollar of it and comes with a 1/2 x 28 threaded barrel. The Springfield Armory Prodigy is a single-action 1911 DS that costs $530 more.
Buy the TTI Combat if you want a striker gun set up for USPSA Carry Optics or steel on day one, with the holster and optic plates already in the box. Skip it if you already own holsters and gear, since the SFX Rival does the same job for less, or if you want a single-action trigger, in which case save for the Prodigy.

- The box contents replace several separate purchases: a water-resistant case, a custom holster, two optic plates, a magazine loader, a spare fiber optic and a cleaning kit.
- Optic support is broad. Canik lists the Shield RMSc, Trijicon RMR, Canik ONYXc, PHANTOMc, ONYX XL and PHANTOM as compatible.
- The flat-face aluminum trigger and an adjustable rear sight come from the factory, so the usual first upgrades are already done.
- At full size it is too large and heavy for daily concealed carry, and the included holster is built for the range belt.
- It comes only in TTI Bronze or Smoke. If you want a plain black gun, this is not it.
