Product Overview
Ammo Inc Signature 230-grain TMC is a total metal coated .45 ACP load made for target shooting. The coating wraps the base of the bullet as well as the nose, and Ammo Inc puts the Signature line in front of target shooters. It leaves the muzzle at 890 fps with 405 ft-lbs of energy.
A 25-yard zero leaves it 2.4 inches low at 50 yards, the flattest of the loads compared, and it is still moving 855 fps there. Estimated recoil in a compact pistol is 10.5 ft-lbs.
If you're cross-shopping, Sellier and Bellot 230-grain FMJ leaves 37 fps slower with 33 ft-lbs less at the muzzle. PMC Bronze 230-grain FMJ is the slowest compared, at 830 fps with 352 ft-lbs.
