Magtech Cowboy Action 240-grain is a lead flat nose .44 Special load made for cowboy action shooting. The bullet is plain lead with a wide flat tip and no jacket over it. At 725 fps it makes 280 ft-lbs, and the bullet weight puts its power factor at 174, over the 165 major floor.
Zeroed at 25 yards, it sits 3.8 inches low at 50. Its estimated recoil of 8.2 ft-lbs in the same revolver is the stiffest of the three cowboy loads, about 24 percent above Fiocchi Cowboy Action 210-grain LFP.
