Magtech 240-grain FMJ is a full metal jacket .44 Special load made for training, target shooting and general range use. Magtech sells it as a low-recoil loading, and at 722 fps it makes 278 ft-lbs.
With a 25-yard zero it sits 3.8 inches low at 50. Its estimated recoil of 8.2 ft-lbs in the same revolver is about 38 percent under Underwood 245-grain FMJ FN.
