Remington's UMC 100-grain FMJ makes USPSA minor right on the line: 100 grains at 1,250 fps is a power factor of exactly 125. Muzzle energy is 347 ft-lbs, and the FMJ is a plain practice bullet. From a 25-yard zero it lands 1.1 inches low at 50 yards and 8.4 inches low at 100, and at 100 yards it is still moving at 1,043 fps with 242 ft-lbs left.
Put it next to Federal American Eagle 100-grain FMJ and the figures match exactly: the same muzzle velocity, the same 347 ft-lbs, the same power factor, the same drop at every checkpoint and the same recoil energy in the same pistol. On paper they are the same load, so the choice between them has nothing to do with ballistics. Mixing the two in one practice session changes nothing you can measure. The one caution applies to both boxes equally: a power factor of exactly 125 leaves no room for a pistol that shoots a little slower than the published velocity.
Buy UMC for practice and for learning a new .30 Super Carry pistol, and chronograph it in your own gun if you plan to shoot it for minor. If you carry Remington HTP 100-grain JHP, the UMC shoots very close to it: at 50 yards the HTP is only 10 fps slower and sits the same 1.1 inches low from a 25-yard zero. For carry itself, buy the HTP; this FMJ is a practice bullet.
