Hornady's Superformance 129-grain SST is a polymer-tipped 6.5 Creedmoor hunting load. The SST is Hornady's polymer-tipped hunting bullet. At 2,950 fps it is the fastest of the 6.5 Creedmoor hunting loads, worth 2,493 ft-lbs, and it has a G1 BC of .485.
Zeroed at 200 yards, it drops 6.8 inches at 300 and 19.7 inches at 400, where it still carries 1,415 ft-lbs. From a 100-yard zero it drops 25.9 inches at 400.
If you're cross-shopping, Federal's Terminal Ascent 130-grain is 150 fps slower on a higher G1 BC of .532, and from a 200-yard zero it drops 21.5 inches at 400. Hornady's American Whitetail 129-grain InterLock is 130 fps slower on a G1 BC of .445 and drops 22.5 inches at 400 from that zero.
