Springfield's XD-M Elite carries 16+1 rounds of 10mm, the highest capacity in the caliber. That single extra round over the Glock G20 and Sig P320 XTEN (both 15+1) does not sound like much, but in a caliber where every 1911 tops out at 8+1, the number matters. The 4.5" Melonite-coated barrel and 31 oz weight split the middle of the polymer 10mm range.
