Product Overview
Underwood 200-grain Hard Cast is a flat-nose hard cast lead 10mm Auto load made for hunting medium, large and dangerous game. The lead is cast too hard to expand, so the bullet holds its shape. It leaves the muzzle at 1,250 fps with 694 ft-lbs.
Off a 25-yard zero it drops 1.1 inches at 50, where it still carries 538 ft-lbs. Estimated recoil in a compact pistol is 14.0 ft-lbs.
If you're cross-shopping, Underwood's own 220-grain Hard Cast is 50 fps slower with 10 ft-lbs more at the muzzle. Federal Solid Core 200-grain Syntech matches this bullet weight at 1,200 fps. This is the fastest of the three.
