Idaho Unit 5 covers 457,396 acres and lies 13 miles west of St. Maries and 25 miles south of Coeur d'Alene. 14% of it is public land, mostly state land (7%) and other public land (6%). A further 12% is tribal land rather than public land. In 2025, 16 people hunted moose here and took 14 — 88% of them killed something. The 2026 draw put up 10 tags here for 15 first-choice applicants.
