Colorado GMU 33 covers 266,311 acres and lies 13 miles north-east of Rifle and 28 miles south-east of Meeker. 75% of it is public land, mostly national forest (45%) and BLM (29%). In 2024, 1,242 people hunted deer here and took 429, a 35% success rate. Its most applied-for hunt, DM033O3R, put up 350 tags (all residencies) in the 2026 draw for 333 nonresident first-choice applicants, 171 of whom drew.
