About This Firearm
The Daniel Defense DDM4 ISR is an integrally suppressed direct-impingement .300 Blackout rifle built for suppressed hunting and suppressed range work. It has an MSRP of $3,945. Its suppressor is pinned and welded onto a 9 inch cold hammer forged barrel, which brings the barrel assembly to 16 inches, so the can sits inside the rifle's own length and nothing threads on at the muzzle.
The MFR XL handguard carries a continuous Picatinny rail along the top for an optic, and sights are sold separately. The safety selector is ambidextrous, and the buttstock moves the rifle between 31.5 and 34.75 inches. The sides and bottom of the handguard are KeyMod, so a light or a hand stop cut for M-LOK needs an adapter.
If you're cross-shopping, the Maxim Defense SDX RFLX SBR has an MSRP of $3,695, an 8.5 inch barrel and 8.2 lbs at 33 inches, and its suppressor unscrews where this one is welded on. The Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 is no longer made, so it is a used buy, and it shares this rifle's 1:8 twist at 6.9 lbs, with 1/2x28 threads at the muzzle, so a can on that one adds length past its 35.88 inches.

Strengths & Limitations
- Both receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard coat anodized finish, machined to mil-spec dimensions.
- The upper has indexing marks and M4 feed ramps, and the lower has a flared magazine well and a rear QD swivel point.
- The stock and pistol grip are glass filled polymer with a soft touch overmolding, which holds better than bare polymer in wet hands.
- The suppressor is welded in place, so it cannot move to another host and cannot be replaced with a quieter or lighter one later.
- 7.6 lbs is before an optic, a light or a loaded magazine, and none of the length comes off, since the suppressor is part of the barrel.
- Sights are a separate purchase, so the rifle needs an optic or irons added before it can be used.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you clean it?
From the breech, as a one-piece barrel and suppressor. The baffle is a single component and the assembly is pinned and welded, so there is no tear-down, no re-timing and nothing to reassemble in the wrong order.
What comes in the box?
A Magpul PMAG 30 Gen M3 cut for .300 Blackout, a Daniel Defense full-latch impact case and the Daniel Defense vertical grip, which is part of the build. The rifle feeds from AR-15 pattern magazines, so the PMAG is a starting point and not a special-order part.
Can the vertical grip come off?
Yes. It clamps to the KeyMod on the underside of the handguard, so a hex key takes it off and leaves the slots free for a hand stop or a bipod mount.
