Fiocchi's Hyperformance 165-grain loads Swift's Scirocco II, a polymer-tipped hunting bullet with a bonded core. It leaves the muzzle at 2,875 fps with 3,028 ft-lbs of energy. The reason to choose it is that bullet at a brisk muzzle speed.
Compared with Federal's 165-grain Swift Scirocco II, which uses the same bullet, the Fiocchi leaves the muzzle 75 fps faster with 156 more ft-lbs of energy. The extra speed comes with a little more recoil: the Fiocchi kicks about 3 percent harder in the same rifle. Compared with Sig Sauer's Elite Hunter Tipped 165-grain, a tipped hunting bullet, the Fiocchi is the slower load by the same 75 fps, and the Sig kicks about 3 percent harder than the Fiocchi.
